[Inscription]
The ancient ruins of Jiaohe, under the scorching sun and endless yellow sands. The earthen walls of the once-great city, eroded by a thousand years of frost and wind, no longer reveal the outline of the city. What remains are forms like crouching beasts and coiled dragons—strange, majestic, rough, and rounded. Modern sculptures cannot compare to these, a testament to how nature plays with time. Painted in early spring of the year of Gengchen, commemorating a journey along the Silk Road by Chunbo, Chou Chen.
