[Inscription]
I revisited Qianshan during the long summer of Xinsi. The day was bright, and the breeze was gentle. I called friends to climb the steep stairs and visit the Great Maitreya Buddha. This Buddha is formed from an entire mountain peak, and when viewed from the Great Maitreya Hall, it is lifelike and exquisite. As the saying goes, 'There is no Maitreya in the Great Maitreya Hall; his true form is reflected before the hall.' It is indeed lifelike. To the right of the hall is a narrow path along the cliff, leading to the Buddha’s shoulder. The sound of pine waves, like Buddhist chants, gently filled the air. I sat there briefly, reciting a Buddhist mantra in my heart, and all my worldly worries melted away. Recalling this scene in the spring of Renwu, I wrote and painted this at Jingqiu Study. Painted by Chunbo, Chou Chen. [Seals]
