[Inscription]
This is the inscription on the Qin stone weight, weighing fifty-four jin according to the standard, equivalent to 120 jin of Qin weight. This rubbing is very clear, and for writing the weight inscription of Qin weights, it must be practiced from this model. The Qin seal script, created by Li Si, marks the beginning of the unification of Chinese characters, and is written with round brush strokes. However, this inscription abandons the roundness and adopts angularity, setting the precedent for Han seal script and serving as a transition to Han clerical script. Throughout history, this has been highly praised in calligraphy theories. In the autumn of the year of Renwu, Chunbo Chou Chen practiced writing from this model as part of his study, with Qin seal script as the foundation for studying Han seal script.
